I chose the word "gentle" for my company because gentle is one of my favorite words. It reminds me to be gentle and not so critical of myself. I remind clients as well to be gentle with themselves in life and in therapy. Change is challenging and can be uncomfortable, even when it is positive. We should treat ourselves gently. Life is a journey that we walk, but not alone. Therapy is a way to shift your perspective toward your feelings and thoughts and allow space for hope in your life.

More Info About My Practice

The "connections" part of my company's mission refers to the relationships and connections that we have in our lives. For better or worse, our family, friends and circle of influence have an effect on us as we take each step.

My Role as a Therapist

My personal experiences of being adopted and a trauma survivor have given me the chance to connect with others in a genuine and authentic way. I use my style of gentle curiosity, compassion and engagement to learn your story as we find a way through your issues together.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

It was difficult for me to decide to see a therapist. My own struggles were a part of my makeup that I thought it would never get better. My experiences shaped me and made me who I was so why change that? But therapy helped. It gave me the space to look at my experiences with different eyes, a different perspective. It allowed space to heal. It was a challenge but it provided a way through. My struggles have given me the patience, the passion, the kindness and the strength to offer you hope and help. I look forward to hearing your story.
