One of the most difficult struggles in life is to ask for help. When we are in the depth of our fears, anxieties, heartbreaks and despondence, it seems almost impossible to believe that there are ways to walk through the pain and come out on the other side. But that is exactly what psychotherapy does for those brave souls who dare to reach out and take a chance.

I honor every individual who comes to me for I truly understand the courage it takes to go outside ones's comfort zone. My work with people involves a gentle yet persistent approach that uncovers the layers of a person's experiences and emotions and the consequent stress and maladaptive ways of coping that have been experienced. Together we take an objective look at exactly where the person is right now and then we focus on exactly where the person wants to be. We develop strategies together, for the individual to try in their real life, and then we discuss those attempts and further fine-tune, always seeking to understand, not judge, and to alleviate suffering.

Peoples' lives do change with psychotherapy. They are able to tap into wellsprings of joy and to create healing thoughts that they never even knew existed within themselves. All you need to do right now is simply reach out and you will see that you'll get a sense of relief almost right away, just from doing that one thing. From there, the door will open to your recovery. I applaud you, because you are already on the right track.

More Info About My Practice

My credentials are approved by most insurance carriers. While I do not bill insurance companies directly for the services I provide, I am able to assist you with your reimbursement submissions to your carrier. My policy is to offer a free initial consultation to people who come seeking my assistance. Following that, most individuals are able to decide if they wish to pursue psychotherapy. I offer a variety of packages, including open-ended, ongoing supportive therapy. Most people prefer to have some structure and an idea of how much of a time commitment they are facing. We can make progress together in as little as one month. The process is led by the person in need and it is both flexible as well as rigorous. The chosen package of services can also be adapted to accommodate the person seeking services, if people change their minds or decide to try things differently.
