My Approach to Helping

Whether it's the pain of loss, the challenge of a difficult transition, or the struggle of feeling stuck, I can collaborate with you in a judgment-free space. Many clients benefit from exploring where their emotional and behavioral challenges began, while others prefer a focused, goal-oriented approach. My goal is to find the approach that works for you. Together we can move toward new possibilities and solutions to help life be better.

I enjoy helping adolescents and adults with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, reproductive health issues, and transitioning to parenthood. I have specialized training and experience with loss, grief, and trauma. Though I do find that there are often similarities between clients facing similar challenges, I respect the unique needs, backgrounds, and lifestyles of each client.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?

For many people, making that initial phone or email contact with a therapist can be intimidating. Perhaps you've been to therapy or counseling before and had a negative experience; perhaps you've never been, and don't really know what it's all about. Either way, the idea of sharing your deepest concerns with a stranger can be scary. Whenever you feel ready, I invite you to call or email me so we can set up a time for a free phone consultation. Through this conversation, I can tell you more about how I work, and we begin to determine if we're a "good fit". I look forward to speaking with you.
