What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I love helping people explore their creativity as a way to move through stuckness. A creative approach to therapy runs deeper than simply listening to music or coloring images, but gives you an opportunity to experience yourself as a powerful, creative, and connected person. You do not need to have any artistic or musical experience.
There is a real richness to be found in slowing down enough to understand your feelings, experience growth and momentum, and move towards a life of ease.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I hear you. And I've been there. But if you're really feeling stuck, therapy can be very helpful. Going to therapy doesn't mean you're weak or can't take care of yourself - it means you're brave enough to say "I can't do it all alone anymore" or "I'd like to feel better than I do right now" or "I need some help, and that's okay".
Therapy is not just for crisis management, but can help you understand yourself, your decisions, and your emotions in an authentic and powerful way.
Having been in your place, I will do my best to help you feel comfortable. My style is warm and real (I have been known to occasionally curse in sessions) and I promise you that I will listen very deeply to your concerns and your dreams.
