I believe that we are at our best when we are growing, but that sometimes things happen that can make us feel really stuck. This could happen in many areas of our lives: in relationship struggles, depression, anxiety, self-doubt, uncertainty, our past, or even our life course. When this happens it can be helpful to get some assistance getting moving in a better direction. I provide validation, support, encouragement and skills that might be needed to get you to a healthy place full of growth.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

I am a skilled couple's counselor and have done training with the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy. I also have experience working with a variety of couples including LGTBQ couples and polyamorous couples. I also have experience working with couples with histories of trauma.

I also am skilled at helping individuals work through difficulties related to anxiety, depression, relational difficulties and self-acceptance issues.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love growth. I believe that a large part of life is about growing and evolving. I really enjoying being a part of that. I love assisting and and watching people get unstuck and grow in new and better directions. I love watching couples come together and learn how to support each other in new and more satisfying ways.

I also know that growth is not all about happiness and optimism. Sometimes growth is through pain and difficulties. However, even when that is the case, I believe that growth presents new possibilities for people, and I am privileged to be a part of it.

My Role as a Therapist

I see my role is that of a collaborator. I have expertise in a variety of areas, but you are the expert on you and your life and relationships. I believe that it is important to work together to determine what is causing the problem and best way to fix it.
