~ A gentle approach to healing ~ "I have been described as a respectful listener, honest and compassionate"

Most people face incredible challenges in life. Stress can trigger fear, pain, resentment and self-criticism. When we become so overwhelmed that negative feelings linger too long, it helps to talk. I am therapist who listens with kindness and respect to each person who shares his/her unique struggle. Balance is key to finding comfort and security. We will focus on how you treat yourself, essential to a healthy mind, body and spirit. Finding ways to manage life with a lighter heart can free us from worry. Optimism is knowing that in time, relief will come.

I received my Masters Degree from Smith College School for Social Work in 1998. My clinical license gives me the privilege to manage my own private practice. I have been a counselor/therapist for 15+ years working in community mental health centers, schools and out-patient clinics. I opened my practice in 2004 and have acquired an openness and wisdom that complements my work.

My children have taught me the most about patience, love endurance and gratitude. My daughter Sarah, age 28 is a creative, compassionate young woman, dedicated to teaching in the public schools. My son Ben, High School Senior is Devoted to music. Bass guitar player in the HS jazz ensemble + belonging to trio (alternative rock band), he's a typical teenager. I am intrigued by his perspective and wisdom, makes parenting a challenge and blessing!
