I work from a depth perspective, honoring the entirety of our experiences as valid and integral parts of ourselves. I believe that healing is intertwined with deep self-acceptance, from which we may forge more secure relationships with ourselves and with others. Using a combination of person-centered, Jungian, Gestalt, and humanistic approaches, my theoretical orientation is psychodynamic and developmental in nature. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients and view them as the experts on their own experiences, and I understand therapy as a journey to the revelation of the authentic self at the center of every person. I appreciate the important work of beauty, metaphor, and image in bringing about the healing juncture of body, mind, and spirit. Therapy is tailored to the individual needs of the client(s), and is available to individuals, couples, and families.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

As a therapist, I feel particularly called to working with grief and loss. As we grow older, it seems that loss becomes a lens through which we might come to see ourselves more clearly. My job as a therapist is to hold and clarify that process for my clients. Sometimes we humans feel as if something is missing, as if we have become disconnected from our vibrancy and our deep potential for happiness and wholeness. Ironically, it is often through our losses that we can rediscover these missing pieces and renew our inner strength. Witnessing this reconnection to self is the most powerful aspect of the therapeutic work I do, and the reason I love my job.
