Thank you for checking out my profile. My approach to therapy is strongly relational with an emphasis on your internal world and psychological development. I am in my nineteenth year of private practice and specialize in treating depression, anxiety, loss & grief, life transition and relationship difficulties. I enjoy growth-oriented therapy that focuses on both emotional and spiritual issues. My goal is to provide a safe and caring environment where you can feel connected, speak honestly and discover ways to solve problems as well as bring about emotional freedom and psychological growth. I have had a great deal of experience working with couples as well as individuals. I have lived in Europe for many years and traveled widely outside the United States and have developed an understanding of cross-cultural issues.

More Info About My Practice
Clients tell me that coming into my office they sense a calm and warm atmosphere. My approach is not confrontational or me telling you what to do. Instead, I seek to help you discover the answers to your difficulties through insight and bringing about change on your own timetable. You are free to move at your own speed. I offer a free ten minute phone consultation to discuss your need and answer questions you may have. Please feel free to give me a call.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Clients often tell me that I have a calming effect when they feel overwhelmed by depression, anxiety or relationship difficulties. I am able to sit with a person in distress or pain in a non-judgmental way and I am a good listener. People feel very free to be open and share their concerns with me. I have had advanced training in grief therapy, integrating spiritual issues into the counseling process, couples & marriage counseling, and working with couples after an affair.
What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
I particularly enjoy the relational aspect of being a therapist. I feel that it is a privilege to enter into the life story of my clients. Since many of our problems come about in the context of relationship, therapy offers a new relationship where changes can be made and growth experienced.
