Finding a good therapist can be a challenging task. It is important to have the right fit so you feel comfortable sharing your concerns and reasons for entering therapy. I encourage you to review my website to learn more about me and determine if we would be a good fit. I offer a free initial phone consultation. In general, I primarily follow a cognitive-behavioral model which has been researched to address many issues from depression to relationship concerns. I have received advanced training in several different specialty areas, such as LGBTQ psychology and health psychology, to best serve all your needs. I look forward to hearing from you.

More Info About My Practice

Currently, I am accepting individual clients and couples in my private practice. I primarily have availability in the evening and Friday during the day. I am conveniently located in Hayes Valley in San Francisco on Fulton Street. My practice is a few blocks walk from the Civic Center Bart Station; street parking is free in my area as well.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can help resolve problems from the past or create new coping mechanisms and outlets for dealing with current life concerns. I utilize evidenced-based practices that have been researched to be effective for the issue you are dealing with. These interventions tend to be time-limited, problem-focused, skills building, and interactive so you can return to your daily life with a sense of resolution; additionally, you return home with ways to help prevent future relapses of symptoms. I value the idea of helping the client return to their daily life as soon as possible with the skills to "be their own therapist" or develop a community of support to help them in future times of need.
