My approach is supportive, collaborative, and interactive. I strive to create a non-judgmental, empowering environment in which you can explore aspects of your life and relationships, identify old patterns, and establish new, healthier ways of living. If you are struggling with challenges in your life, feeling your emotions are getting out of control, losing sleep, feeling anxious, even depressed, you can feel better and more in control of your life. Engaging in therapy can make a difference.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is an opportunity for growth, a gift that is given to oneself. At times, it may feel scary and exhilarating, empowering and frustrating, mirroring the vicissitudes of life itself. It is a place where the challenges in one's life can be explored safely, thoughtfully and honestly. There can be moments when it may feel hard, when you may wonder, "Is this worth it?" These questions are normal and a part of the process of change. It's through asking those kind of questions and exploring the feelings which accompanying them, that the process of psychotherapy occurs; where within a healing relationship, the spectrum of one's life can be experienced and better understood.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
As we grow and develop, we are influenced by our relationships with important people in our lives and by our surrounding environment. Its where much of the "good" and the "bad" in our lives happens. I believe that change in therapy happens within these realms as well, and the relationship between client and therapist (you and me) is where these experiences and relationships are explored. My central role as a therapist is to create and nurture a partnership with my clients where emotional safety is honored and honesty and openness valued. My experience and expertise is offered in support of your goals and needs.
