Helping someone change, grow and respond to life's challenges is the most rewarding work I have ever done. I find myself humbled and honored to see the individuals, groups and families I work with meeting life's rough roads with strength, compassion and resilience. This is what motivates me to continue learning new techniques and to customize my work with each individual to make sure you are getting what you need. Drawing from a number of approaches means that we may be looking at the past, the future and the present . At times it means we may use mindfulness, breath work and grounding techniques and at other times we may use concrete solution focused techniques. You are not exactly like anyone else so your therapy shouldn't be either.

Relationships can help us grow, therefore finding the right fit in a therapist is the first step in the journey of any therapeutic growth. Our relationship, the safety, comfort, openness and strength of our interactions is the base for any other technique we use in our work. Together we can figure out the best path for reaching your goals. I look forward to helping you grow and meet life's ups and downs on your terms.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Transitioning to adulthood is one of the most important and challenging times in life. Not only do I have extensive experience working with teenagers and college aged individuals and their families, but I also love it. I find a perspective and wisdom in those of you in this age group that is always impressive and a joy, as well as challenge to work with.

My first job out of college was in a crisis shelter for teens. It was this experience that set me on the path of becoming a therapist and still, when I look back was one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever held. Whether you are trying to figure out who you are, who you want to be, what you want to do or how you want to love and be loved, I would be honored to join you in your exploration and discovery.
