Transforming stressful relationships, traumatic events and unproductive behaviors are my passion. I help you learn more effective ways of communicating to create satisfying relationships.
Having a positive, loving relationship with yourself is the first step in finding the love you want in another. If you have been feeling unable to connect to yourself, spouse or other loved one, I will help you to reconnect by understanding your patterns, healing past hurt and replenishing your ability to love.
You can find the connection your heart desires through learning to relate to yourself and others in a new way.
EMDR, an evidence based therapy, may be utilized for processing disturbing memories that are keeping you from reaching your goals.
Many years of experience as a yoga and meditation teacher as well as a pastoral counselor help me to be present and attuned to your needs.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Working as a Program Director at a non-profit serving victims of sexual and intimate partner violence for over 12 years gave me valuable skills in assisting individuals with trauma and relationship issues. I was inspired to help couples find loving ways of relating and individuals to heal from past hurts so they can make wise choices in their relationships.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Psychotherapy can pay off ten fold helping you understand your concerns and start relating in a new way. Couples have conversations that bring new insights and experiment with different responses that bring more closeness in the relationship. Individuals explore the patterns that no longer serve them and heal old wounds to create more contentment in the present moment.
