Can you imagine viewing the very symptoms that prompted you to think about seeking out therapy as wise, and healing parts of the body mind connection? Every problematic experience or stuck pattern we have, especially that one that seems to come back time and time again - is an opportunity to move into richer and more satisfying relationships with ourselves and with the world. The more satisfying our relationships become, the more that translates into having a life that works.

Therapy that integrates the wisdom of the body-mind connection allows a kinder and gentler way of seeing ourselves emerge from the often judgmental, and sometimes fearful, voices within. An essential aspect of my work is exploring how this interrelationship between body and the mind impacts our feelings, thoughts, and behaviors in the world. So how does that translate into therapy with me?

Together, each week, we will be co-creating a safe place, where there is room for any and all feelings, beliefs, and thoughts to emerge. I work in a no-shame zone of ongoing support and warm curiosity. Together we will learn about patterns, thoughts, feelings, triggers, stories, and behaviors that shape the way you see yourself and your world. We will integrate tools that allow you to know even more about yourself so you can begin to choose how you respond in any given situation. As current ways of reacting to the world are gently and carefully investigated, more authentic ways of responding in the world will naturally begin to emerge, and life can begin to be experienced in a more heartfelt and satisfying way.
I am committed to being non-judgmental and present, regardless of what emerges. I know when to question, when to guide you, and when to listen. My style is empathic, relational, and intuitive with a down-to-earth presence that invites you to settle down into yourself.
I am sensitive to diversity, LGBTQ+ informed, collaborative, and available. Together we can explore ways to be in the present moment while coming into a fuller understanding of what it means to be a human being - not a human doing. Having a life that works is a wonderful thing.

$175.00 per 60 minute session for individuals, couples, and teens.
Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan. Please check your coverage by asking the following questions:
Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
How many sessions does my plan cover per calendar year?
What is my deductible, and have I met it this year?
How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

As a therapist, I am particularly seasoned at helping individuals who are seeking help with their relationships - with themselves, their partners, children, and loved ones, their friends, co-workers and communities at large. Counseling and therapy is a place to delve into issues in such a way that patterns are noticed, fears are explored, hurts can be held, and new relationship tools can be explored and implemented for ongoing growth and success. The relationship we have with ourselves is a beautiful place to begin. With a commitment to providing safety, attuned presence, and ongoing nonjudgmental respect for whatever emerges, relationship exploration is a way to begin to have the life you always wanted with yourself, and others.

My Role as a Therapist

My role as a therapist is at all times to be conscious of the deep respect and profound regard I have for the many rich and varied individuals I have the pleasure of working with as a psychotherapist in a vibrant practice. Psychotherapy is a journey more so than a goal, and I resonate with the metaphor of client and therapist being similar to the relationship between the mountaineer and the Sherpa, or mountain guide who accompanies the climber. It is always the client's decision to choose the summit, but my own capacity as a seasoned therapist and ongoing client myself allows me to point out the safest routes and hazards along the way while being able to point out over and over the incredible beauty of the climb to greater consciousness itself. Reaching the summit of the authentic self is having a life that works.
