Is work stressing you out? Having problems with time management and organization? Afraid you made the wrong career choice and feeling stuck in your current role? I partner with professionals who want to make work a meaningful part of their lives. I also help professionals who have a recent diagnosis of ADHD or long-term history of learning disabilities and notice these are now causing problems with work.

When work is causing stress there is typically one of three problems occurring:

1) You are in the wrong role.
2) You don't have the skills to be successful at your current role.
3) You are in the wrong company.

Our work together will focus on identifying the problem at hand and creating a clear action plan to address it. Everything we do is in collaboration and we'll evaluate progress regularly to make sure you are meeting your goals.

More Info About My Practice

As we work together, we will identify practical strategies for helping you manage things at work AND at home. This may include things like career assessment, strengths inventories, identifying your motivation for work, creating a long-term career plan, or identifying training programs to help you further your success. We'll also focus on time management productivity, since I find that is a concern for most clients.

I offer counseling both online or in my Irvine office location. I also offer "text therapy" for those who want sporadic support at a more affordable price. Counseling clients have access to me throughout the week, not just during sessions.

Have a difficult meeting today? No need to wait until our next session to discuss. Instead, email or call me and we can chat for 15 minutes to get you prepared.

I do not follow a specific 50 minute therapy session format. We meet weekly for 45 minutes but also have contact outside sessions via email or phone as needed. This is a key difference from traditional therapy because we are focused on meeting your goals more than leaving an open-ended process.

Everything we do is focused on now and how that impacts your future. Of course, this will also include investigating your past successes and goals, as well as insight regarding your current work stress. However, if you are more interested in traditional "talk therapy" that focuses on your relationships, trauma, and processing of emotions, I likely not be a good fit for your needs.

If you are interested in how your actions and emotions interact to create an impact on your life goals and career, you'll probably enjoy my approach.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

My strength is jumping in to a "messy" situation, evaluating what was the cause of the problem, identifying strategies that can clean it up, and implementing those strategies quickly.

More specifically, I've had 10 years of experience in career and learning disability assessment. I enjoy helping people who are feeling stuck at work or questioning their career choices. There are often more options for people than they realize. It helps to have someone who is familiar with corporate culture, assessment of strengths and weaknesses, and genuinely interested in business to work through these things.

What Makes up a Problem?

Problems are relative to each individual but generally, if you are questioning yourself on a daily basis, feeling disconnected and aware that you are not meeting the potential you know you have, there is a problem.

Some problems are solved easily with support of friends and family, changing a situation, or learning new skills. Other problems may be too embarrassing to seek support from friends and family. Or perhaps you do not know anyone else who has insight or can understand your specific issue.

That is when it can be helpful to seek outside, objective guidance. A counselor can help you think through things from a different perspective, gain clarity on your goals and also practice strategies that can be life changing.
