Helping you explore your challenges, confront your fears, and heal from past traumas while supporting you to courageously speak and live your truth are at the soul of my work.
Working with me gives you the opportunity to see your problems, both in relationships and with yourself, from a new perspective. With over 30 years of experience, I have consistently helped my clients to invigorate their sex lives, achieve happier relationships, deepen their intimacy, prepare for a healthy marriage, navigate life transitions, recover from a divorce or infidelity, set and achieve career goals, cope with anxiety and depression, recover from addiction, and face the end of life with courage. I can help you move from where you are to where you want to be.
I believe individuals and couples have the ability to grow and change in profound ways. My work draws from both Western psychological models and mindfulness-based Eastern practices. Using traditional, as well as experiential approaches such as Hakomi Therapy, EMDR, the Enneagram model of personality, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, I can help you to clarify and reach your goals.
I have counseled couples and individuals in Boulder since 1984. If what you've tried doesn't work, it's time to try something different. Consider investing in yourself by beginning a conversation that can change your life. I offer a free initial 30-minute consultation. To learn more, please visit my website.

More Info About My Practice
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado with a Master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado and an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. The heart of my practice is helping couples and individuals create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. I have completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and I taught the Dynamics of Intimate Relationships at Naropa University for nine years.
Since 1984, I have been using Hakomi Therapy's mindfulness approach to foster healing and change at the deepest levels of the personality. I incorporate both Hakomi and EMDR techniques when working with trauma, abuse, and other emotional issues. I am a certified Enneagram teacher in the tradition of Don Riso and Russ Hudson of the Enneagram Institute.
Finally, I have been a volunteer bereavement counselor for Hospice since 1982 and have vast experience working with many forms of grief and loss.
Woman's Group offered each Spring & Fall:
THRESHOLD: A Personal Growth & Art-Making Experience for Women.
This eight-week group allows you to explore a particular personal issue through the lens of an external art-making experience that produces an illustrated, handcrafted book. Each week, we will explore various mixed media techniques while invoking our Inner Child to play. You don't need any artistic skill or experience, and if you believe that you are not creative, this group is for you!
