What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist
All of us at Lori Sarvis and Associates have expertise and years of experience in working with people of all ages. We are passionate about our work because we believe in people. People have amazing inner strenghth and we learn from our clients everyday how resilient we are as people. But there are times you may need more then the help of friends or family. We are trained to not only give support; but to guide, educate, and find the best therapy to help you achieve your goals in life.
My Role as a Therapist
Our role as therapists are multifaceted. When you think about it, therapists are the few who actually sit with the client for 45 minutes to evaluate their concerns and needs. Since we have several therapists, it is sometimes invaluable to work together to create the best possible results for your needs. We work with many psychiatrists and primary physicians to help formulate a treatment plan for the client if needed. We work with trauma, brain injury, veterans and their families where the physical component is addressed as well as the psychological one. Our role is to look at the person as a whole rather then individual parts and to set a plan into action with the client to get them where they want to be.
My Therapy Focus
We have several therapists, each with their own specialties and unique therapy styles. We work with addictions including drugs/alcohol, gambling, sex and shopping. Lori Sarvis is certified as a sex therapist as well as hypnotherapist. Lori was also trained in past life regression. Lori is also trained in Energy psychology utilizing acupressure tapping, muscle testing, chakra and energy balancing. Energy psychology is approved through the American Psychiatric Association.
We also have a therapist that is bilingual and understands the complexities of cultural differences.
