OCD, Addiction, Depression, and Anxiety

Are you struggling day to day and do not understand why?
Do you continue to fill the voids in your life by trying to get a "quick" fix?
Do people tell you that you should make changes in your life?
Do you struggle with obsessions and compulsions in your day to day?
Do you find it hard to trust others, but really want to?
Are you tired of using or drinking to cope?
Do you want more freedom in your life?
Do you want to learn to challenge your intrusive thoughts or behaviors?
Do you want to achieve more?
Do you have anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere?
Do you beat yourself down before you have a chance to try?

If you answered yes to these questions, I can help. I believe people lose focus on their goals, desires, and dreams. Sometimes, our brain and biology work against us when we try to focus in on goals. At In Focus Counseling LLC, I believe in providing clients usable tools and strategies to use throughout their day to combat negative feelings, negative emotions, addictive/compulsive/negative behaviors, and to help you focus on what's important. Sometimes we all lose track of direction and things become fuzzy or unclear, especially after break ups, loss of a job, loss of a family member, or loss of control. Finding focus helps each person be more mindful about their everyday experience and their connection with those around them while taking into account the barriers, cultural implications, and struggles. These changes arise from a focus on you and combating your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. Don't let addiction and/or OCD get in the way, if you need help finding focus in your life, please visit the website or call, 720-295-9522

How Psychotherapy Can Help

All of our lives are constantly evolving. If you have been in therapy before and didn't find it beneficial, maybe its time to try again. At different periods of our personal growth, different views and approaches are needed. A connection to a therapist is extremely important, so please call me to see how I can help you.

If this is your first time, throw out the idea of what you have seen in the movies and on TV and try to keep an open mind. Therapy is a way for you to focus on yourself and your needs without biases. Do you struggle with something specific? Or do you feel off balance and aren't sure whats wrong? Maybe you do not even have the words to describe what you are feeling but, you just know something is off? Take a moment to evaluate the impact of your emotions, addiction (or other ways you cope), OCD, and/or behaviors and are impacting you and/or your relationships. Therapy provides usable tools and skills for you to use outside of our sessions.

People find that they come to therapy in my practice, they feel supported, heard, helped, and challenged. Sometimes you might have one specific problem and then shortly realize that by working on that one problem, the benefits trickle to other areas of your life. Take time to think about the changes or needs that you want in your life.
