Healing happens when we tell our stories. As an experienced, empathetic, and compassionate listener, I will work with you to open up new paths of inquiry and understanding. I will continually strive to stay attuned to you and your needs in the therapy session. Research in interpersonal neurobiology is showing us that healing happens in relationship, in conversation with others. I look forward to having rich and rewarding healing conversations with you!

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

We all want to be seen, heard, and loved, and yet many people do not feel seen, heard, and loved for who they really are. This lack of healthy mirroring is the source of much of our deepest emotional anguish. I am very interested in working with people in healing these early and ongoing emotional attachment wounds.

"Who am I?", "What is my relationship to others?", and "What do I want to do?" are questions that are central to our existence as human beings. We all struggle with issues of identity, relationship, and purpose as children, as adolescents, and as adults in times of transition and change. I work from a place of accepting you where you are and helping you find your own ways of getting to where you want to be. My approach is very affirming of your individual strengths and abilities. We will work together to turn your skills in surviving into skills of thriving!
