At Renew Center of Florida, founded by celebrity psychotherapist Dr. Lisa Palmer, PhD, we believe that every human being is equipped with strengths and resources to achieve complete joy, fulfillment, and happiness in life. To accomplish this, inner healing is needed to soothe areas of internal and external experiences of pain and fragmentation, and remove the negative tendencies that get interfere with recovery. As we undertake this work, we need a strong support team to help us conquer the strength of the problems and help us navigate through complex internal and external relational processes.

Recovery is more than a new way of thinking about one's life or body. In fact, it usually, if not always involves self-transformation. This is not something that happens on an abstract or theological level; instead, it takes place between ourselves, the problem(s), and other people and personal experiences. While many individuals attempt to accomplish this task on their own, their efforts are often superficial. They may find themselves repeating the mantras "I can do this on my own" or "I don't need help", when in actuality few individuals recovery spontaneously without the help of proper support systems.

At Renew we have developed unique and effective approaches to the treatment of a variety of mental health and relationship issues such as eating disorders, trauma, addictions, and behavioral health concerns, and life cycle issues. Our methods blend eastern and western philosophies of healing and with an emphasis on collaboration, creativity, discovery, and utilization of your strengths and resources to aid your recovery. Our program core emphasizes principles of vitality and brief therapy strategies that individuals can learn and integrate into their lives long after treatment is over.

Our staff of experienced professionals under the direction of Dr. Palmer are extraordinarily well trained and oriented to a variety of proven treatment strategies and we do not specifically advocate one over the other. Instead we have found that treatment works best when customized according to the needs, mindset, and considerations of the individual and family system.
