Everyone can develop a tranquil, clear, joyful mind; even those who feel overwhelmed or imprisoned by unrelenting anxious, depressive thoughts. Heal the root causes of mental/emotional suffering with mindfulness psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing (SE) therapy, two highly effective, integrative, evidence-based approaches. This method is ideal for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and chronic pain, autoimmune dysregulation, substance use problems. I also work with military veterans, professionals in high-stress careers or life transition; couples in distress; depressed, anxious or stressed adolescents. Reclaim your innate aliveness; the genuine mental health of wakeful presence.

The inner well-being of genuine mental health is not dependent upon the existence of agreeable circumstances. Mindfulness and SE skills allows us, even in times of difficulty to experience the mind in its natural state: a wellspring of innate radiant, clarity. This is the happiness that comes from knowing one's own true nature.

In addition to my clinical practice, I have authored a new textbook for mental health clinicians on Buddhist psychology titled, "Effortless Mindfulness: Genuine mental health through awakened presence". I also train psychologists and psychotherapists in mindfulness interventions and present at clinical conferences on mindfulness and Buddhist psychology. I have practiced yogic and Buddhist meditation for more than four decades. Visit my web site to learn more about my work, fees, and to download a variety of free meditation practices and Dharma Talks. These are also available as iTunes podcasts. I look forward to working with you!
