Being in love and creating a life together can create a range of emotions from excitement and happiness to stressed and overwhelmed. It can also bring with it a great sense of belonging and security or, at other times, incredible loneliness and doubt. In spite of these vast differences in feelings, most of us continue to seek love and companionship from our significant relationship or in seeking to begin a significant relationship. We have countless online dating websites to help find our true love and movies and TV who tell us what our relationships should look like. Unfortunately, the services and sources of entertainment do not provide all the answers to our questions that follow the first date, first kiss, or first "I love you" of a relationship or even moving in together, a proposal, wedding prep, marriage or even children! Yikes! Fortunately, that is where I can come in.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
I hear this all the time: I'm not sure if therapy is right for me? Okay, I get it, but honestly, what do you have to lose? Some time in your life? Some money you may have to give up? Why not try it out? You can try it once and if you hate it, you NEVER have to go back! Seriously, it's not a lifelong commitment. You may even like it!
On the other hand, what to you have to gain? Security? Perspective? Stability? Try one appointment at a time and see what happens.
Had a Negative Therapy Experience?
First, I would like to apologize. It is very hard to take the first step towards healing and the fact that you are even considering it again says a lot about you. Negative therapy experiences happen for a variety of reasons, but that still doesn't make it right. Even though you may have a bad taste in your mouth towards the whole mental health field, I would encourage you to try again. You might just find exactly what you are looking for.
