My approach to counseling is very results oriented. I want people to start feeling better right away. I help people think about themselves, their lives and their relationships differently. I help people take control of the way they feel and how they respond and deal with the issues they face. My primary approach when working with individuals is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a method that research repeatedly validates as working more quickly and effectively to bring about positive changes than traditional talk therapy. I work extensively with couples needing relationship counseling using the latest research based methods of conflict resolution, communication and trust building to help partners deepen their connection and resolve conflict in a way that allows them to stay connected rather than tearing them apart.

Many of my clients choose to see me specifically because of my expertise in CBT or relationship counseling and also because I am certified in Clinical Hypnosis and will, when appropriate, incorporate hypnotic techniques into the therapy process. Incorporating hypnosis along with Neruo-Linguistic Programing Techniques and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) (tapping) can even further enhance and expedite the results achieved from therapy.

More Info About My Practice

Very often when when you struggle with symptoms of anxiety or depression or are having relationship issues with your spouse, partner or even another family member, you experience guilt, shame and other difficult emotions. As an experienced CBT and Relationship Counselor, I listen to you and address your concerns. I balance our sessions to provide the right amount of personal support, teaching, and implementation of skills. I will work with you to empower you by teaching skills you can use to support yourself even when relapses occur. You learn that there is a way out and your emotional struggles can be overcome.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I absolutely love providing effective therapy to individuals and couples. I find it extremely rewarding to work with people and help them identify and implement solutions for the problems they are experiencing. My work provides me with a great deal of personal satisfaction and a sense of achievement. I love that my clients tend to achieve both short and long-term lifestyle adjustments without long-term counseling.
