I believe we all have the potential to lead fulfilling lives and I offer therapy to people who want to create positive, lasting changes in their relationships and lives.
I'm an integrative therapist, which means I draw from a number of different psychotherapy orientations. Moreover, successful therapy depends on a strong relationship between you and I as the therapist, so my first priority is to nurture this by trying to understand you in a safe and supportive way. You will find a session with me to be transparent and didactic, at times infused with humor, but always warm and direct.
Therapy is most effective when it's flexible, demystified and centered around your needs. I don't believe in a cookie cutter approach to therapy, so I work collaboratively with you to create an approach that is individually tailored. You are already the expert on you so part of my work is to help you develop the curiosity, courage and insight to create the life you want, whether you are looking to release the past, reduce anxiety, or feel more joy. Whatever it is, I look forward to meeting you and exploring those next steps together.

More Info About My Practice
I'm particularly interested in the growth and change that comes from significant developmental transitions such as adolescence, becoming an adult, a partner or a parent. I began my career as a therapist working with children and families. This has informed my practice with a deep understanding how our early lives can knowingly or unknowingly hinder people and prevent them from thriving.
A large part of my work then is helping women and men understand and heal the parts of themselves that are holding them back from having healthy fulfilling lives or relationships.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
There is a point in most people's lives where they can't see their own blind spots and the support of their family and friends isn't enough. What is helpful at these times is someone whom is neutral that they can trust to reflect back what is in these blind spots. To look at what they find there that keeps them repeating patterns or going in circles.
Therapy is the process of looking into that space, and bringing to light those aspects that need care or healing.
