With 15 years of clinical experience I realize that people enter therapy for a number of reasons, some at a time when it feels like things are coming undone or are out of control, others when they realize they have a decision to make and need support, or others because a pre-teen or adolescent they love is in deep pain and they don't know what to do. Whatever the reason, at this time one often feels isolated, overwhelmed, lost or hurt.

Addressing these difficulties involves a mixture of clinical experience, creativity and compassion to create an environment where you feel safe. In therapy I realize that each person is unique and has a different way of interacting.

Groups I Work With

I work with a variety of people from different ages as well as stages in life. From the beginning of the lifespan, I have a depth of experience in dealing with parent and child issues, especially around transition times such as school difficulties and divorce. From long-standing clinical work with children, springs a deep understanding of family problems and how these can be brought to bare on adult relationships, work difficulties, and parenting one's own children. Given this I work with a number of preteens as well as teenagers and their parents around times of great transition or change, where the desire to be some place healthier is present, but the route or way remains obscured.

I also work with a number of people in their late 20's to 40's who are experiencing relationship difficulties and trying to figure out what would be healthy and right for them at this point in time. They are usually getting out of or entering a relationship and deeply want something that is different from what they previously had.

No matter what the issue or difficulty, I believe deeply in the importance of being able to access therapeutic support during difficult times and will work closely with you to identify the best way of supporting you.
