Leigh-Ann is the Director of Elevate Counseling Services and has assembled a team of outstanding, seasoned clinicians that bring together a vast array of personalities and skills to help meet you where you are at, with your particular needs. Our clinicians are available to you and your family members ages 5 y.o. and up. We meet our clients in a comfortable, nonjudgemental and compassionate space in order to develop good rapport, trust and a healing space to help. We have found that over the life span people need to change, adapt and grow and often-times transitions are difficult, causing emotional pain. We treat symptoms of depression, anxiety and anger. We help parents, families and couples build stronger relationships through education around communication, coping strategies and improving decision making. Our passion is to help make life, which absolutely can be difficult, a little less difficult and a little more enjoyable. We believe that you should have a shot at living your best life. And our clinicians have the ability to help you get there. We also specialize in substance abuse, recovery after adultery, trauma, grief and loss and adolescent, men and women's issues. At Elevate Counseling Services, we have the resources available through individual, couples, family and group treatment to meet your needs and help you Elevate yourself to your best life. We are Counselors Making Connections. We look forward to meeting with you soon. - Leigh-Ann

My Role as a Therapist
It is the role of your therapist to help you navigate through your life. Your provider should be able to partner with you, make observations, validate, educate and introduce concepts to you that make your life better. Your therapist is there to support, unconditionally, the person that you are today and the person that you are wanting to grow into.
The therapist in the family or couples setting is there to support your relationships with each other. Your counselor in this setting, is treating the "3rd person in the room", that being your marriage or your family dynamics. The role of the provider is to help each person bring their strengths and their weaknesses into the room and figure out how to bring them together in a way that "fits" and improves relational functioning.
Therapists' roles include: educator, cheerleader, accountability partner, support person and advocator. In the end, the role that your therapist plays is dependent upon what you want and need from your provider. Ultimately, you decide, what role you would like your therapist to take in your life's journey for this moment in time.
