Are you wanting to feel close and connected to your partner? When you don't feel understood it's hard to feel connected. It's difficult to determine if what you're feeling is normal. Maybe you need help improving the relationship. Maybe you're not sure if your relationship is what you want anymore. Are you experiencing any of the following?

Attempts at communication have failed
You don't feel the closeness you desire
You've lost the confidence to move forward
You feel desperate to resolve unresolved issues
You aren't sure if you should stay

How much better would you feel if you:

Felt heard and understood by your partner
Felt close and intimate with your partner
Improved your confidence and moved forward in your life
Could resolve issues through good communication
Felt less confused about the future of your relationship

You can resolve these issues and restore peace and closeness to your life.

I specialize in women's relationship counseling. I've helped hundreds of women and couples gain the insight they need to make positive changes in their relationships. I provide women with the validation and understanding they need in order to resolve the anger, confusion and anxiety they're experiencing.

"Through my personal and professional experience, I've developed a true passion for helping women develop the fulfilling relationship they desire."

I am a professional therapist, speaker and educator with over 20 years of experience helping women and couples create the fulfilling relationship they desire. I have helped move hundreds of couples from relationship confusion and frustration to clarity and understanding. I work actively with my clients, using my expertise in relationship behavior and dynamics, to help them get what they are looking for in all their relationships. I spend much of my time helping them work towards their goals of feeling connected, supported, understood and loved. Through my personal and professional experience, I have developed a true passion for helping women understand their relationship needs and develop strategies to achieve them.

Being a therapist isn't just what I do, it's who I am. While many shy away from accepting differences in people or run from the struggles others face, I embrace them without judgment.

Most of my counseling sessions are done in my comfortable, private office that's conveniently located in Huntington Beach. To meet the needs of busy clients, I can do sessions over the phone or via Skype.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love working with other women and learning about the roles they play in their own lives and the lives of others. Feminism has provided women with not only freedom and independence but also with some major challenges. The myth of the 50/50 relationship and male/female role reversal continue to be struggles in the lives of many women I work with. I love the satisfaction I get from watching women begin to understand why they're working so hard but not feeling so good.

I began doing therapy in 1995 while working towards my Master's Degree. I started my private practice in Huntington Beach in 2000 after getting my Master's Degree from Pepperdine University, completing an internship and becoming licensed by the state of California. In addition to working with women, I worked for several years with families struggling with domestic violence and child abuse issues. Over the years, I've been invited to speak to multiple women's organizations. Many people tell me there's no way they could "hear all those problems." But I believe there's no depth in life without getting to truly know other people. I'm naturally therapeutic and Insightful and I love doing what I do.
