From my personal experience overcoming obstacles and blocks in my adolescence and beyond, I have developed a passion for helping and supporting others in the areas of relationships, life transitions, and food or body-related issues. My approach is welcoming, empathic, honest, direct, proactive, and collaborative. If you come into my office, it is important to me you feel respected, valued, and safe to be fully yourself. I create some amount of structure in sessions, while also allowing for flexibility and spaciousness. In this way, I feel it is possible to move beyond the limitations of one modality and to empower you to become the leader of the work, which empowers you in your own life.

My Guiding Ethical Principles

Honor, trust, integrity, and respect are the foundational aspects of my practice, and I strive to embody these in my work with you. I believe these create the foundation for the magic and fun of your transformation to occur.

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

It's important to honestly think about where you are now, and where you want to be, or similarly, what you generally feel now, versus how you would like to be feeling. If there is a discrepancy, then additional support can enhance your journey immensely.

There is tremendous strength in trying to make a change in your life. There is tremendous strength in seeking support. There is hope to feel more supported, more connected, more intimate, and more empowered.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I believe psychotherapy is more than just support for those in need or those with "problems." I believe psychotherapy has the potential to empower anyone at any stage in their life to feel more depth, happiness, support, motivation, connection, and intimacy.

Support allows us to achieve goals, and blossom into more of who we want to become. Psychotherapy is one way the modern world allows us to reach out and receive that support.

My View on the Nature of 'Disorders'

Disorders are a lack of order in some area of our life. If we bring attention and support to these areas, we can begin to disentagle the "disorder" and come into more harmony, happiness, and empowerment.

I know this is true because I've lived it and seen it. I also know it's hard to believe that this is true at certain stages of our life.

Change and transformation is possible, beyond what we can imagine when we are in our darkest moments.
