I use a collaborative and supportive style to help you understand yourself or your child. Once we understand what is contributing to the emotions or behavior you would like to change, we take practical steps to make real improvements in your daily life. Therapy can be difficult, but also incredibly rewarding. My flexible approach moves between working on thoughts, behaviors, and feelings to find the most helpful way for you to reach your goals. When working with children I often focus on play to help them better express themselves, learn to manage difficulty emotions and develop new skills. Parents are very involved in their child's treatment and attend each session so that together we can best address the child's needs.

In addition to therapy services for adults, children and families, I also offer assessment services. Assessments available include psychodiagnostic, IEE, autism, cognitive, developmental. I accept insurance and private pay clients.

Anxiety: Treatment can help you to gently face your fears and move beyond them. By reducing anxiety and learning new coping skills you will be able to have more enjoyment in your life.

Autism and developmental delay: Treatment for autism and developmental delay can include communication strategies for children who are not yet speaking, learning social communication, emotion regulation and play. I also specialize in treating anxiety and depression in individuals with autism.

Infants: Therapy for infants focuses on helping parents learn to play with their child in ways that enhances their child's development. I focus on infants who are showing or at risk for developmental delays. By intervening early we can help a child reach their potential.

Psychotherapy helps us to better understand ourselves and those people close to us. Once we have an understanding of what is contributing to our fears and problems, we can work to improve ourselves and our lives. This may look very different for different people.
