Sometimes life leaves you feeling sad, hopeless, stuck, or confused. Therapy acknowledges your past and present, as well as possibilities for you future. We'll work together to manage the delicate balance between meaningful changes and accepting things that cannot be changed. Rather than dwelling on shortcomings, we'll tap into your strengths, so you can tackle life's challenges and be your best self.

I'm warmly optimistic and nonjudgmental. I'll help you identify and remove barriers to fulfillment and happiness. Depression and anxiety have the power to cloud your vision, making everything look bleak. We'll discover how the way you talk to yourself affects your relationships, friendship, and even your relationship with yourself.

My background in drug and alcohol counseling as taught me that, though 12-step programs can be very helpful, they're not right for everyone. I'll work with you to explore various avenues to sober living. I also offer alcohol and drug evaluations.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

Therapy helps us examine our lives and better understand ourselves. Through an understanding of ourselves, we are better able to change unhelpful patterns and make conscious decisions to change what no longer works for us. Psychotherapy gives us a chance to live our lives intentionally, without resorting to autopilot. Healing past hurts can do wonders for the spirit, recognizing strengths and abilities can improve confidence, and sharing with others can help us feel less alone.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love helping people better understand themselves and tap into their greatest strengths. What we often perceive as weakness, on the flip side, can also be our greatest abilities. I see all attributes of personality on a spectrum. All traits can have a healthy and unhealthy side to them. It is wonderful to witness people heal and grow, and it blesses my life as well. I love discussing the complexities of life and helping people find purpose and meaning.
