I believe it takes a lot of strength to make the effort in obtaining the help you need to address the issues in your life! I strive to provide the appropriate therapy approach that suites each person. There is no one model that I use on everyone, as I see each person as an individual and believe that a collaborative approach is beneficial. This allows the individual to express their comfort level in their personal therapeutic journey along with receiving professional, genuine, non-judgmental, and empathic support and tools from myself. Therapy doesn't have to be scary, and by providing a safe environment, I will utilize my role as your therapist to help you find your inner strength and direction.

More Info About My Practice

I have extensive experience working with individuals that have developmental delays and dual diagnoses. Being employed as a therapist in a foster care agency, I have worked with a large range of mental and behavioral disorders as well as providing family and parenting therapeutic services. One of my passions is relationship work, as I believe that our interactions with others have a big impact on our emotional and behavioral health.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Going to therapy means that you are attempting to take care of yourself, and that actually shows me that there is some strength in you! It takes a strong person to admit that they have issues to work on and that there is room to grow in their mental health.

Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance

It is important that you trust your therapist and feel comfortable expressing all of your thoughts and feelings. It is my job as your therapist to work with you in addressing your goals and creating a therapeutic plan that we are both comfortable with.
