As a licensed marriage and family therapist, sport psychology coach, and advanced clinical hypnotherapist, I have an eclectic means to helping people overcome obstacles keeping them from complete well being. I have a supportive and direct approach, focusing on solutions to problems, and I emphasize goal setting and motivation to achieve results. I believe that many aspects of health and wellness can be addressed simultaneously since mental and physical well being are intertwined. Individualized attention is given to every client, and we work together to define the changes that need to occur. My clients and I become a team as we focus on results through brief-solution-focused therapy. I have years of experience working with clients with eating disorders and body image issues as well as addiction. I also specialize in working with athletes using specific sport-psychology methods to enhance performance.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Seeking help is a sign of strength and "normalcy." By nature, we are relational creatures meaning we are innately drawn to belong to families, friendships, working relationships, etc. Going to thearpy is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of connection with your innate desire to connect with someone who understands you. As a therapist and coach, I believe connection is essential for change: connection with yourself and with someone who can guide you, work with you, and cheer you on along the way.
