My approach to working with people is to create a warm, safe and affirming space to explore the problems that you are encountering in your life and relationships. I see people and relationships as separate from their problems, and have a strong conviction that people are capable of making the changes they want in their lives. It is my goal to create a space for you to explore problems and decide on solutions that will work for you and your relationships so that you no longer need to come to therapy.

More Info About My Practice

I enjoy working with couples and individuals on a variety of problems including concerns with communication, parenting, addiction, infidelity, intimacy, sexuality, trauma, depression and anxiety. In addition to my graduate work, I have training from the Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault and have a great deal of experience working with people recovering from sexual trauma. I also have a passion for working with couples and am a certified Prepare Enrich facilitator as well as being trained in Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy.

What Makes up a Problem?

I believe that problems are separate from who we are. Problems come in and out of our lives, and we all need help at times to manage them. For every problem that arrises in a person's life, there is also a way in which they have taken a stand against that problem. In therapy, I have the unique opportunity to work with people to discover the ways each individual or couple has taken a stand against the problems they encounter and the ways they will stand against it in the future.
