We, as humans, are relational beings. Thus, it is within the context of relationship we are harmed and it is within the context of relationship we find profound healing and transformation. I believe healing takes place within a safe, secure, therapeutic relationship and environment. Additionally, trauma and pain takes many forms so I use a holistic approach to my work. Meaning, I look at all aspects of mind, body, and spirit in terms of healing and transformation. Much of my work draws upon somatic modalities to incorporate body work with the emotional/mental/relational. I strive to address the whole self, not just the mental.

More Info About My Practice
I am excited to begin offering therapy services via telehealth! This means that you can receive psychotherapy services from the comfort of your own home. I am able to provide this service to individuals who live in Washington state currently, and soon will be able to provide this service to Texas residents. My hope is this will break down barriers to mental health care, allowing more and more individuals the ability to live with freedom and hope.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
My specialties include: trauma and abuse, relationship/dating violence, anxiety, depression, food/body issues, and athlete psychotherapy. I have over ten years experience studying and training with trauma and abuse and have been a competitive athlete/coach my entire life.
I am particularly gifted in working with teenage girls and young adult women struggling with low self esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, or food/body concerns.
How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
I was raised in a dysfunctional family in Texas and have been in my own therapy on and off since I was a teenager. Thus, I know what it is like to be "on the couch" and to do the hard and rewarding work of therapy. My own struggles in life have enabled me to have strong intuition, empathy, and understanding for the people I work with while still being able to maintain that our stories are unique. I continue my own psychotherapy to make sure I continue on the journey of self-discovery and healing to better insure I am able to walk with you on your own journey. It is a privilege and honor to work collaboratively with you as you seek wholeness and transformation.
