My Approach to Helping

In session I am active and conversational, I offer feedback with empathy and collaborate with my clients on setting goals.
I am passionate about using innovative techniques to treat anxiety and trauma including EMDR. I have received specialized training in sex and couples therapy in order to offer people a specific approach to communicating. I enjoy working with individuals and couples helping them to overcome relationship issues as well as sexual issues that may be affecting their quality of life. I have over 10 years experience as a therapist and love the work that I do.
I have found now more than ever that people are coming to therapy with a lot of fear and uncertainty. Fear and uncertainty can block people from making changes in their lives. It's hard to make decisions when you're afraid. Fear can also happen when you're getting closer to what you want. My work is to help you discern between the two.
I believe everyone's needs are different and want to work together to help people improve their lives.
Everyone deserves to to be happy, healthy and whole!

More Info About My Practice

A good indicator for therapeutic change is a good fit with a therapist, I support this by offering a complimentary consultation. My mission statement is to offer professional, caring service with integrity.

My Therapy Focus

Navigating life, especially relationships with others, can be difficult, overwhelming and exhausting. I offer a a safe space for you to uncover the underlying issues that are blocking you from being able to move freely through life.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

So often in life the message we receive is that it is a weakness to ask for help, that we are strong when we can figure things out on are own. What a myth that it is! It takes a tremendous amount of courage to ask for help and to allow another to walk with you on your journey. Psychotheray is great opportunity to practice the strength of asking for help. Through empathy, mindfulness and compassion I attempt to guide others through this stigma.
