I love helping individuals learn to become more present and peaceful. My approach is designed to help people shift away from stressful thinking toward a more balanced and grounded state of being. In order to help people accomplish these outcomes, I use a variety of mindfulness and cognitive behavioral strategies including relaxation techniques, which can help individuals access a healthier state of consciousness and let go of negative perceptions in favor of more useful beliefs, emotions and behaviors. As people learn to feel more at ease internally, then more options become available such as improved relationships, clearer paths toward goals, and experiencing more joy in daily life.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
In choosing a therapist, I believe that the most critical factor is the ability of the counselor to be present. By presence, I mean the ability to appreciate the present moment regardless of circumstances. The preferable counselor, therefore, is the one who can model inner peace. That way, he or she can better help others follow suit. Communication is a second and related factor that is important in a therapist. Although modeling inner peace is primary, a counselor with superior communication skills can help others access presence more efficiently.
