My Approach to Helping
Life is a journey replete with magnificent moments and difficult challenges. People who describe their life positively often share one common factor: healthy relationships. It is essential to understand that healthy relationships don't simply exist between people but additionally within people (i.e., self-confidence and self-esteem) and beyond people (i.e., God, other spiritual forces, karma, laws of the universe, etc.). These various relationships can have a deep impact on physical health and the health of one relationship can considerably affect another.
I have an integrative approach utilizing mostly family systems, narrative, and solution focused interventions to help my clients to strengthen their relationships and pursue their goals. The Great Life Counseling Center staff work collaboratively with each other to ensure the highest quality of care & customer service.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I enjoy and particularly excel at helping people with relationship problems. Whether the concern is between intimate partners, parent & child, or client & coworkers, I have had much success in helping people to understand each other & find harmony. I also excel in enhancing my clients' self-esteem, which could be thought of as one's relationship with or feelings about oneself.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy varies according to the needs & desires of the client and the client's willingness to invest in the process. Some of my clients simply want to work through a specific issue and, once specific goals are met or adequate progress has been made, they are ready to end or reduce the frequency of sessions. I also have clients who need or desire more long term support, where they can privately discuss their concerns with someone who knows them & their history well. The overall purpose is to be able to share & work through issues so that one can become more effective & efficient in pursuit of happiness or serenity.
