My approach to the counseling process is one that builds out of trust, respect, and empowerment. It is through this process that individuals begin to recognize their inner strength, wisdom, and creativity. I believe that everyone has a distinct relationship with their body that leads to ultimate well-being, and that this collaborative and holistic exploration will lead individuals on a journey of self-awareness and healing. My approach to therapy is eclectic allowing me to design therapy that is purposeful at an individual level.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Although I enjoy maintaining a diverse practice, my specialties involve working with adolescents and adults; individual, couples, and group therapy; body image; self-forgiveness and trust issues; autism spectrum disorders; career counseling, life transition, and values clarification; and post-traumatic growth.

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

Without personal struggles we would walk through life without knowing our greatest strengths or our resiliency. I believe that it is the power of stories that connect people. It is through sharing our individual stories, accepting and embracing one another through these stories, and allowing ourselves to feel the power and truth in the vulnerability within these stories, which allow us to see the humanity in all. The struggles that make up our stories lead us to not just live inspired, but live inspirit with ourselves and others. Although our struggles and our stories may be different, they equally possess the power to transform, connect, and live a healthy, balanced life.
