How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy gives us a chance to explore the relationships around us whether they are with friends, family, loved ones, co-workers, or even ourselves. It provides a safe space where you can get objective feedback on issues you are facing in life.

Psychotherapy provides a neutral place to explore what you really want out of life and the opportunity to practice new skills to make these changes happen.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

Going to a therapist for emotional pain is no different from going to a doctor for physical pain. Yet, some people insist that you should "Just get over it!" or "Deal with it, Life's hard." The reality is that life is hard. And for some, it's much harder due to trauma, bullying, sexual-abuse, and many other reasons.

For these people, an understanding therapist can be the difference between a happy life and life that is filled with shame, dread, embarrassment or worse.

Therapy is not for the weak, nor the flawed. It's for people who know they want a better life for themselves than the one they are currently living.
