We make choices every day. If you decide to seek counseling, you've made a choice. Whenever you stand at a fork in the road, the decision on which course to take depends on reviewing your alternatives and mapping a course for success. I work with clients to identify the situation at fork in the road and help generate solutions that enable you to move forward. Together we develop goals and strategies for navigating the course of life's challenges. Bends in the road often occur outside our control; counseling helps transform these speed bumps into learning situations.

More Info About My Practice

One of my favorite words is "grace", because it encompasses what is required in our important relationships. Extending grace to another takes compassion, which can be especially challenging when anger and conflict reign. The counseling process can help heal old wounds to create more harmonious relationships.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love working with my clients and having the opportunity to see positive changes occur in their lives. The relationship between a therapist and client comes from a place of empathy, mutual respect and understanding. We all experience times in our lives when an objective and caring voice adds clarity to our situations; I am honored when my clients bring me into a position to act as a resource for healing common hurts.

Had a Negative Therapy Experience?

The counseling relationship reminds me of snowflakes, because it's unique based on each relationship. If counseling didn't work in the past, try again. It may simply be a matter of disconnection that can be resolved when working with another clinician. You may also want to meet with 2 or 3 counselors to determine where you can get the best support.
