I believe that finding balance in life is one of the most important aspects to living healthy, more enjoyable lives. As such, I strive to help clients define and find what balance means to their lives. I practice in a humanistic way, which means I focus on providing a safe, non-judgmental environment for you to explore what it is you want to work on in therapy.
We will also set specific goals and work towards them. What do you want to accomplish? What is not working for you? What would you like to change? Perhaps your goal is to experience less anxiety and stress in your life. Or maybe you and your significant other are having difficulty communicating and want tools to work on this. Or maybe a lack of boudaries with someone in your life is causing you distress. No matter the goal, we can work towards it together.
I believe in finding balance between letting the therapy process happen naturally, as well as targeting your goals in session and working diligently towards them.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Not sure therapy is for you? Call me for a free 20 minute consultation. We can discuss what your therapy goals are, what you are looking for in a therapist and whether or not we might be a good fit for working together.
Importance of the Client-Therapist Alliance
Having a great working relationship with your therapist is important to the therapeutic process. Everyone has unique needs and if I am the right therapist for you, great. If not, that is okay too. I would encourage you to continue trying to find a therapist that is a wonderful fit for you.
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Therapy is a a process and everyone goes through it at their own pace. One person's journey is not another's. That said, it is not my goal to keep you in therapy indefinitely but rather to get you to a place where you feel your therapy goals have been met. Throughout our work together, I will continually check-in with you on the progress we are making towards your individual goals and what, if anything, might be hindering them.
In general, I meet with clients once per week for a 50 minute session.
