Holding on to anger, resentment, fear, blame, and shame actively interferes with our ability to create and experience peaceful, meaningful, and loving lives and relationships. My unique and effective approach to therapy incorporates mindfulness, accountability, and forgiveness practices as a way to support greater self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-efficacy. I support and nurture your capacity for generating the growth and changes necessary to create your best YOU -- the YOU who welcomes and embraces your one beautiful life! Don't let old stories and behavior patterns dictate your life and relationships; let's work together to discover your true purpose and plan for the new Story of You!

What I Say to People Concerned about the Therapy Process

Counseling is a valuable experience for folks who feel stuck -- and we all feel stuck sometimes. Seeking out support to help get unstuck is both smart and brave. Remember: You are NOT your problem. You are NOT your "disorder." You are a lovely, worthy and capable individual who is experiencing a problem or a concern. My job is to help guide you through the process of learning, practicing, and incorporating effective new skill sets that we explore and determine together from a place of safety, trust, curiosity, and humor.

What Makes up a Problem?

A problem is something that causes us distress and/or interferes with our optimal day-to-day functioning. A problem may manifest as a pattern of thought, a behavior, or as an experience that keeps us stuck in anger, resentment, fear, sadness, blame, and shame. It may wreak havoc with our health and well-being, our jobs, our families, and our hopes and dreams. It definitely keeps us from being our best selves and living our best lives.
