Settle for more.
My desire is to help you improve your relationships, manage issues, and reach your goals using talk therapy, humor, and a nonjudgmental stance. I provide sex therapy which is TALK therapy focusing on the intimate thoughts, behaviors, patterns, and history of your life as well as your sex life. Sex therapy has no nudity, no exams, and no sexual contact.

With 17 years of experience I work with a wide range of issues in addition to sex therapy including depression, anxiety, grief, blended families, premarital counseling, marriage counseling, deciding to divorce or not, and anger management.

Everyone has sexual problems at some point in their life. I can help untangle sexual problems at their core~ from childhood misunderstandings to adult romantic connection problems to sexual technique. My office offers you a place to ask questions about what is normal, discuss disappointments, and learn how to make sex more enjoyable.

It takes courage to enter counseling. My office will be a safe place.

More Info About My Practice

My husband and I moved to Raleigh in 2014 and we have four grown children.

My accreditation's include: Licensed Professional Counselor; MA, Counseling Psychology/Counseling Education with Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Western Michigan University, 2000; Nationally Certified Counselor; Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor; Prepare/Enrich Certified Marriage Counselor, 1999.

My Role as a Therapist

The relationship with a therapist is the most important element to successful outcomes, more than technique or theory. My role as a therapist is to provide a safe place to openly discuss your inner thoughts.

I will be a sounding board who will give specific suggestions and feedback while working hard to really understand who you are. I call counseling 'walk along time' as I am not leading you. I know you are your own life expert but I can help you to see the trees through the forest.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

No, just the opposite! Stepping into a counselor's office means you have guts and courage. It may feel scary to open up to a new person with your most intimate details but if you find the right counselor it will help you grow and reach your goals.
