Therapy For Women. You are hurting, need compassionate understanding, and a safe place to talk. I understand it takes strength and willingness to share vulnerability in seeking out therapy.

You may be struggling with the wet blanket of depression or have worries that just won't stop. Although going it alone no longer feels like an option, I understand revealing yourself takes courage. I hold the trust you place in me with the utmost regard.

In the process of therapy, getting to relief frequently involves giving voice to your darkest thoughts, your most shameful confessions. An atmosphere of acceptance and total confidentiality is the way I have found to make it safe.

Even if your book shelves are groaning with self-help books and you have multiple resources for healing, it just isn't enough. You still need to talk.

You may have talked to friends or family but need something more. Because they are in your life they can't be totally objective. Besides, this feels so personal, you aren't really sure where to turn.

I have had 27 years of experience helping women like you.

I get women and know how hard they can be on themselves trying to please everyone. Therapy can be hard work but quite possibly the most important, life affirming work you ever do. If it is time to talk reach out, let's see if we are a fit.

More Info About My Practice

If you want a therapist who has been traditionally trained and licensed, but one stays up to date with the latest in brain science and mind/body approaches, I could be a good choice for you.

For insurance purposes I am "Out of Network". I have found that Insurance panels can compromise confidentiality and interfere with good treatment. They have financial incentives to limit treatment and often hire the least experienced clinicians for their panels in exchange for referrals. Therefore, I have chosen to practice in a way that puts nothing in between me and my clients. We, together are in charge of your treatment.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With

Just For Women - your voice, lost and found.

"I am overwhelmed with being everything to everyone. I've lost myself and can't find MY voice in all of this."

I have to say that seeing women for over 27 years, this is the one thing I hear over and over. Relationships are very important to you and you have a hard time finding the balance without losing your self.

Many times the little girl in you that responded to "be a good girl for mommy" has turned into a lifetime of people pleasing. And there lots of people to please. Kids, coworkers, bosses, husbands or significant others and of course the relationship that is many times the toughest of all, your own mother?

Guilt, self-doubt and too muchness. It all takes it toll. Sometimes you need a professional set of ears and eyes to be objective, empathetic, help you get clarity, find your voice and support that voice when everyone is pulling at you. You can find your voice and feel better. Therapy can help.
