I passionately believe in human ability to rebound and heal with the use of individual, unique strengths and insights found during psychotherapeutic journey.
I was interested in psychology since I was a teenager. In late eighties, I remember having all books accessible in Poland about depression and schizophrenia. During this time I met Gwidon. He was homeless, talking to himself, isolated, and hurt. I could see him every day with a newspaper sitting on the pavement next to my grocery store. One day, it was a holiday; I just sat next to him. We began a journey into his world. It was a fascinating story of human love, pain, sickness, loss, and joy. Over the course of few months he told me about his dream: one more time he wanted to feel 'normal', he wanted to feel the wind on his face while accompanying me in my car driving on the highway. I could do that. When I was driving with him, the miracle happened. For this brief moment, he was his old self, with the brightness and charm, with his beautiful smile and pure personality. He called my name for the first time. This was when I realized that our unique relationship has restored his belief that there are people who care. That day I found a direction in my life. I dedicated myself to helping those who need to discover their inner strengths; heal from suffering; and make positive changes.
In 2014, Psychological Counseling Center was opened. It is a warm and welcoming place where individuals can find individualized care that includes psychotherapy, interventions, and education.

Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy, can be an important part of your treatment for depression, anxiety, addictions, and other psychological issues. It can help you gain an insight into patterns of behavior and symptoms that create problems or cause your suffering.
Therapy also helps you to identify and build up your strengths. The ultimate goal is to solve the problem, alleviate pain, and make positive change.

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
The most important part of therapy is authentic relationship that allows building on the inner strengths. I value the comfort of being true to the self in therapeutic office. This is the honesty and trust that creates the path for future positive changes.
My approach to therapy takes on psychodynamic perspective based on the belief that person must attend to the whole self - mind, body, and environment - to achieve understanding and self-realization. I believe in trusting and professional therapeutic relationship as a base for identifying unconscious conflicts; getting insight, and finally making a change. I strongly believe in the use of patient's strengths and resilience.
I believe that therapy attends to both content and process. Content is recognizable- the precise words or issues addressed; process refers to the nature of the therapeutic relationship which conveys the message that therapist cares, offers deep presence, and willingness to search for the answers.
My purpose is to identify and remove obstacles to grow by focusing on the inner strengths: social skills, intellectual curiosity, warmth, loyalty to friends, courage in facing inner demons, dedication to change, willingness to self-disclose, commitment to breaking the cycle of abuse, or simply a decision to not to pass negative traits to the next generations.
