All parts are welcomed!
Struggling with understanding yourself? Wondering your purpose in life? Challenges with managing internal and external conflict?
Different parts of ourselves develop with each new experience. Our parts are intrinsically positive, but with the need to protect and manage may cause undue hardship.
Under those parts, we each have ?Self? that has a capacity for healing. The main goal is to distinguish between our parts and the Self to reestablish a relationship.
As the therapist, my role is to provide a safe and supportive place to guide the client in finding feelings that they are struggling with and to keep space for those feelings to have a voice.
It is all about integration!
Finally, as a woman diagnosed BRCA+, I have personal and professional experiences working with women's health issues, specifically psycho-education on preventative options, support for rebuilding self-esteem and femininity, and embracing your new body after reconstruction.

More Info About My Practice
Is your child having behavioral difficulties? Children often communicate their emotions, both positive and negative, with behaviors. Unwanted behaviors often occur when children already used all their coping skills and no longer know how to handle conflict. I am here to offer a specialized approach to reshaping behaviors by using a combination of expressive arts and behavior modification interventions. I address each child's unique challenges with an individualized perspective that includes the entire family system. As the therapist, I will be able to assess and interpret the expression of the child and use it to foster change. Many children are afraid to participate in therapy when viewed as "boring," or when pressured to talk. Luckily, having to only talk about your problems for a child to improve is a misconception. For children, play is their language. In session, children can expect to have fun playing games, using art and listening to music.
I also specialize in working with children who have a chronic or terminal illness by providing a safe environment to openly express internal experiences. Children often appear brave as a way to not only cope with their illness but to protect their families. Counseling is an outlet to receive support during a time of hopelessness.
