More Info About My Practice

I have received advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and continue to develop an expertise in working with couples and issues related to infidelity, infertility, addictions. EFT is supported by extensive clinical research and is considered to be the most effective type of relationship therapy. Our relationship with an intimate partner deeply impacts every aspect of our lives. When our relationship is strong, we feel more secure and capable in meeting life's challenges.

Isolation and conflictual, stressed relationships are often associated with higher rates of depression, anxiety and health concerns. I address healing from loss, grief, trauma, and painful life experiences through my ongoing training in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). My work is also informed by comprehensive DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) training and an ongoing study of Mindfulness Meditation.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Psychotherapy can be a powerful and transformative experience. My approach is structured and systemic in helping couples and families to identify negative patterns in their relationships and to create and rebuild closer emotional connection and bonds. My work with individuals is informed by recognizing and strengthening the deep striving for health and growth that each one of us holds inside. Using an active and thoughtful approach, psychotherapy can lead us to healing, greater fulfillment in our relationships, resilience and inner-strength to face life challenges and struggles.

My Role as a Therapist

I am passionate about my work as a psychotherapist and remain committed to my own professional and personal growth. I strongly value ongoing training and education so that I may provide and continue to offer solid research-based strategies, solutions, and healing.
