I help people have profound and meaningful relationships. In couples counseling, I work with couples who have developed negative ways of interacting and become stuck. I help them get unstuck and reconnect with each other. I focus on the heart of the matter. I work together with couples to deescalate negative patterns, understand the underlying feelings and needs driving those patterns, understand how to stay un-stuck, and connected with their partner.

I also work with individuals who want or need to work individually on their relationship, as well as with those who want to improve their relationships with others in general. Finally, I very much enjoy working with individuals seeking to improve their relationship with themselves. We all have inner critics, and I enjoy helping people call a truce and find peace.

More Info About My Practice

I offer a free 20 minute meeting to get a feel for each other, see if the fit feels good, and answer any questions you may have.

For those with time constraints, or interested in a quicker start, I offer Intensive sessions that can be several hours and/or over several days. This is crafted according to your needs and our mutual schedules.

My rate is $140 for a 50 minute hour, and is the same for all services. For times over 50 minutes, the rate is calculated using a $140/hr base.

I am an Out of Network provider for all insurance, and am happy to give you a statement to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist

It's most important to choose someone you feel comfortable with. If the vibe doesn't feel right, take the time to find someone else where it does feel right.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

I don't view my clients as weak or flawed at all. The greatest acts of courage are those I've seen in my office as people face their own demons and share their vulnerable or raw places with their partners. People need people to grow and to heal. That's not a weakness, and it's not a flaw, and I'm privileged and honored when they choose me to help them do that.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Although I will share my opinion and advice, I go by the clients' needs for scheduling. I have clients coming once a week, every other week, once every 3 or 4 weeks, and ad hoc/as needed. I've had some satisfied clients end after just a few weeks, and I've seen others for years. Whether therapy is complete, and what goals we're currently working on, is a conversation that I always welcome.
