My goal, and my staff at Self Design's goal, is to create a safe environment in which you feel comfortable enough exploring: where you have come from, your struggles today and your goals for the future. We go at the pace that feels most comfortable for you. Everybody's experience in therapy is different so there is no "right" or "wrong" way to do it. Whether your issues are about evaluating a relationship in which you feel you have lost yourself, feeling at a crossroad with your career or struggling with compulsive behaviors like OCD, eating disorders or substance abuse, myself and my colleagues at Self Design are here to help. We provide individual and couples therapy for adults.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

I love being a psychotherapist because I love seeing my clients grow! I feel so fortunate to be able to go on this difficult but essential journey back to themselves so they can make truly authentic decisions about their relationships and futures.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

It takes incredible courage to express your vulnerabilities to someone you do not know. It is actually a sign of strength to be able to ask for help. People avoid being vulnerable with others because it is difficult. If it was easy, everyone would do it! My staff and I recognize this, which is why we respect the pace you set to share what is happening for you. You will never be coerced into sharing more than you are ready to. It is hard work, but well worth the effort.
