As a therapist, I offer guidance while respecting your freedom to make decisions for your life. I try my best to understand your life from your point of view, rather than judge it from mine. I offer comfort when needed and also inspire people to open themselves up to new experiences. If you are considering therapy, you are likely experiencing painful emotions. Emotions give meaning to life, but sometimes they can get us in trouble. My approach is not just talking about emotions but actually transforming painful emotions. To achieve that, I mostly use Emotion-Focused Therapy. Sometimes I also use Alba Emoting, a scientific method for working with emotions.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed

If you are depressed or have panic attacks, you are having a difficult experience. It does not mean there is something wrong with you; we all have difficult experiences. So I do not see my work as treating diseases. Rather, I help people get unstuck from difficulties and continue to move forward with their lives.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Most people experience some improvement in the first session! Obviously that does not mean all issues are resolved. Most people get to a a good place after about 15 weekly sessions. But of course every person is different.
