My goal as a counselor is to provide a warm, safe and gentle environment to help you explore life challenge areas., I employ elements of cognitive behavioral therapy and "here and now" coaching techniques to assist you will identifying important life goals. Self-limiting thoughts are examined so that you can remove barriers that are keeping you from reaching your full potential.
I often give homework assignments so that wider points of insight are reinforced after the session ends. This allows for personal empowerment and growth.
Before I entered into the wellness field, I was employed for over 15 years in the corporate sector. I've worked for major Fortune 500 companies in positions ranging from management to sales. I understand the unique pressures that go along with managing people and projects while trying to juggle other "life" responsibilities.
Outside of counseling and coaching, I also teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate level in psychology, business and health sciences.
When you come to my office, you will find a warm, gentle and relaxing environment that is designed to act as an oasis away from a busy and hectic word - similar to an "executive lounge". Complimentary beverages are available, along with newspapers and magazines.
