Do you need relationship help?

Are you ready to grow deeper in personal wholeness?

You're probably here right now because you are seeking help, guidance, or support. I am sorry that you are in a hard place today! I acknowledge and admire your courage to reach out and step into the process of change or healing by seeking therapy. I appreciate that this can feel scary, especially if the process is unfamiliar to you. I promise to be right there with you in our confidential space that is safe and accepting.

I have worked extensively with an array of COUPLE relationship problems including difficult crisis situations--especially INFIDELITY RECOVERY. If you are in crisis you need some serious "storm management" including dealing with anxiety, depression, betrayal trauma, anger control, obsessive rumination, boundaries, conflict resolution, and communication. That is a very angry sea to get lost in; don't try to go it alone! As you might imagine, I also work with INDIVIDUALS grappling with similar issues.

On the other end of the spectrum I love accompanying folks wishing to journey into deeper self-knowledge and Christian spiritual growth and transformation. Digging deep--internal "cave exploration"--also takes courage and can sometimes feel painful and difficult, but is oh, so WORTH IT!

My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy

What I have witnessed in practice is that we typically seek therapy or counseling when we feel we are in some way STUCK, STRUCK, or STRUGGLING. Therapy provides a safe, accepting space to get courageously real with ourselves--without fear or condemnation. Sometimes we simply need support during difficult crises, life-stage transitions, and otherwise painful circumstances. For many, therapy is a path to personal growth and insight. Therapy should always be all about you!

How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist

I believe my own struggles, trials, and failings have been perhaps the most important training I have received in becoming a compassionate therapist. There is rarely a person that I sit across from in therapy that I cannot in some fundamental way relate to. My own life challenges have made me much less judgmental and far more tolerant and understanding than I was as a young man.
